Divine Justice (Khudai Fauzdar)

Set against the backdrop of moral decay and fear, this story introduces us to Seth Nanakchand, a wealthy man whose conscience is as fragile as his fortune. His paranoia takes hold when anonymous threats arrive, hinting at a looming robbery. What unfolds next is a gripping tale of poetic justice, where Premchand blurs the line between man-made law and divine retribution.

A Tale of Two Oxen (Do Bailon Ki Katha)

Through the emotional journey of Heera and Moti, two oxen separated from their familiar lives, Premchand weaves a gentle but powerful story about loyalty, struggle, and unspoken bonds. Their resilience mirrors the strength of the oppressed and their dignity in the face of hardship. It’s a heartfelt exploration of kinship – both animal and human.
