A symbol of faith and justice, Nagraj’s powers derived from millions of serpents within his body are as fascinating as his spiritual connection with Lord Mahadev and Guru Gorakhnath. From fighting global terrorism to ancient evil, Nagraj stands tall as an icon of Indian heroism. One who uses his powers not for fame, but for dharma.

On this special day, fans all over the nation revisit his timeless adventures, from Nagraj to Nagayan, remembering the hero who redefined Indian comics.

📰 Comics and Culture in Tripura: A Literary Tribute

Amid the festive spirit of Navratri and Durgotsav 2025, the state of Tripura witnessed the release of Charyapada, an annual magazine unveiled by the Hon’ble Governor of Tripura, N.I. Reddy.

The magazine proudly features a wonderful article titled “Comics and Culture in Tripura” penned by Dr. Supratim Saha, a passionate writer and cultural observer. The piece beautifully explores how comics have not only entertained generations but also shaped young minds, sparking curiosity and creativity.

As Dr. Saha writes, comics like Super Commando Dhruv weren’t just about heroics, they introduced children to science and logic in the most imaginative ways. Many readers fondly recall how Dhruv’s adventures explained concepts like magnetism, sound waves and strategy long before they encountered them in textbooks.

🎨 When Comics Became Classrooms

In the golden age of Indian comics, characters like Nagraj, Super Commando Dhruv, Chacha Chaudhary, and Fauladi Singh were more than entertainers, they were educators.

In many ways, Indian comics served as the first science and moral classrooms for countless young readers.
