मीना और मिट्ठू से एक और मुलाकात

मीना और उसके मिट्ठू तोते एवम् उसके छोटे भाई को कौन नहीं जानता ? जो नब्बे के दशक के नहीं हैं शायद वो नहीं जानते यानि की आज की युवा पीढ़ी पर जो पिछले दशक में दूदर्शन देखते थे उन्हें मीना जरुर याद होगी. मीना जो की छोटी सी लड़की थी और बहुत ही समझदार एवम् चालक थी, जिसने न सिर्फ अपने परिवार और समुदाय को, बल्कि बहुत से देशों के समाज की बालिकाओं के प्रति होने वाले भेदभाव व अपराधों के विरुद्ध जागरूक किया. इतना की बचपन में ही हम समझ गए थे की अगर आम घर में आता है तो बहन को बराबर का हिस्सा मिलना चाहिए …है न ? याद आया न या अब भी बताने की जरुरत है ?

वैसे आपको पता है , 1995 के दौरान में साउथ एशिया और अफ्रीका को UNICEF ने दो बाल कार्टून चरित्रों मीना और सारा से अवगत कराया जिसने के नब्बे के दशक में बढती हुई टेलीविज़न की प्रसिद्धि को सामाजिक कार्यों और जन जागरण के लिए उपयोग करने का मार्ग अपनाया, आज हम भारत और साउथ एशिया में प्रसिद्द मीना की बात करते हैं और आपको कुछ वो बाते बताते है जो कि आपको नब्बे के दशक में शायद पता न चली हों. एक तो ये कि दाशक के अंत तक तो मीना एक ब्रांड बन गई थी और खिलौने, किताबों और अन्य मेर्चंडाईस के द्वारा उसका व्यवसायिकरण भी किया गया ताकि उससे प्राप्त लाभ को सामाजिक कार्यों में लगाया जा सके क्यूंकि UNICEF तो अपने में एक ऐसी चीज थी की लोग सस्ता हो या महंगा UNICEF द्वारा उत्पादित या लाइसेंस्ड चीजों को बड़े शौक से लेते थे.

अब मीना की बात करें तो मीना के एनीमेशन और किताबों से शायद ही कोई अछूता रहा हो क्यूंकि उसकी कहानियों में उस समय की बालिकाओं की समस्याओं और उसके निदान पर जो चित्रांकन किया गया था वह सभी बच्चों को सीख देता था खासकर बालकों पर वह खासा व्यवहारिक प्रभाव डालता, हालाँकि डिज्नी जैसे बड़े व्यापारिक कंपनी भी जब भारत में पैर ज़माने में नाकों चने चबा रहे थे पर UNICEF ने बहुत हद तक सफलतापूर्वक अपनी एक जगह मीना द्वारा भारतीय जनता व बच्चों के मानस पटल पर बना ली. भले ही आजकल मीना सन्दर्भ से बहार हो गई हो पर मीना की प्रेरणादायक कहानियां आज भी प्रासंगिक हैं.
