Lightning Strikes Twice: Experience the Origin Story of Minnal Murali in Graphic Novel Form!
Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media and Tinkle Comics have teamed up to introduce an Indian superhero graphic novel titled “Minnal Murali” at the Mumbai Comic-Con 2024 . Inspired by the 2021 Malayalam film of the same name, the graphic novel delves into the origins of the superhero and unveils new adventures. Set in a village in Kerala, the story follows two individuals who gain superpowers after being struck by lightning, with one using them for good and the other for evil. Tinkle, known for characters like Suppandi and Shikari Shambu, presents “Minnal Murali” as its first graphic novel publication.
The 64-page English Graphic Novel, Priced at 299, features artwork by Mr. Vineet Nair, the art director at Tinkle and colors by Mr. Sachin Adhare who worked for many Tinkle’s popular comic strips. The novel includes stills from the film, storyboard excerpts, and interviews with the creators. This collaboration marks an exciting venture for Tinkle Comics into the world of graphic novels, offering readers a deeper dive into the adventures of the Indian superhero Minnal Murali.
