One of the biggest surprises? Cameos of Guy Gardner, Mr. Terrific and a grounded yet determined Lois Lane along with Lex Luthor & his Father Kent. And yes, Superman is shown with broken bones, a shocking moment that raises questions even die hard fans are debating. How can the Man of Steel fracture? Is this a new villain’s doing or a deeper metaphor for his humanity? While we may need to revisit the comics for answers, what’s clear is that James Gunn is giving Superman a more vulnerable, human dimension without compromising on epic scale and inspiration. The reviews so far are mixed, especially around the tone shift and emotional vulnerability shown. But for many, it’s a bold step in the right direction. Superman is, after all, a symbol of hope and this film looks determined to prove it once again.
